the best things in life are free...

So I'm sad to say, I was very disappointed in Starbucks tonight. Not only did they kick us out early ( the barista awkwardly told us at about 930 that they were closing so we had to leave, and then they turned off the lights), but mostly I'm disappointed because I received no free anything. This may be a first in Starbucks of Sevierville history.

Let me just tell you. I hit the Starbucks jack pot multiple times and once you go there, you don't ever want to go back. A couple of months ago my roommate and I decided to go to Starbucks for the night to study (yes, this is only a once in a while experience since the closest one is a good half hour away, gasp for air all you city folk!) and we had probably one of the most interesting/ awesome nights there. We ended up hanging out with an "undercover detective," a cop, and a black guy who kept trying to get the cop to tazer him. And the only thing that could have made this night any better was that the baristas literally opened the pastry case and told us we could take whatever we would like...

Don't believe me?...

This was me and my new friend stealing the goods

Just some of our bagged items :)

Anyways, that night made me realize how much i like free things. And ever since, I have found myself joyously receiving many a free thing. College students really get the hook up. We got huge bags of free popcorn, I got a free Timbuk2 bag (that was crazy), lots of free food, free coffee, free shirts, free love (well, i was offered that by a homeless man, i did not take it though), and lots of other fun freebies.

So as you can see, I was very disappointed when my wishes were not granted this evening. But then I realized, I probably shouldnt dwell on the fact that I didn't get anything free, but to just enjoy my time with some great friends. And that's where it all makes sense, the best things in life really are free...friendships, family, real love.

I'm a very blessed thanks to lifes freebies.
