Happy Balumtine'th Day!!! I hope your day has been full of love and chocolate! I have had a wonderful V-day, spent with countless kisses and holding of hands. I guess that is the price I pay for having the best valentine there is, his name is Jacob and he is about to turn three.
In fact, I thought that playing it safe and having my nephew be my valentine this year would keep me safe from the whole "lets be silly, in love and do crazy things"...but it did no such thing. In fact this year I found myself very head over heals, willing to do anything and everything He asked of me. ( I will go ahead and apologize to my sister for the obscene amounts of chocolate and cookies I let him consume...but hey, what is an aunt for right?)
I even did something I told myself I would never do. I always said I would never get a tattoo because of a boy, but alas, those big blue eyes and fiery red hair can make me so smitten...We got matching tattoos :)

So there are a few things I have learned this Valentines day: no matter your age, love needs to be about having fun, holding hands, playing football in the backyard, cleaning messy faces, praying, kissing, and being a good friend. We get so caught up in the silly standards of worldly love, and it leaves so many hearts broken. I'll leave you with this, if you found yourself alone today on Valentines day, just remember, you always have two of the most important things: Jesus and candy!
Dont we all wish that Valentines Day could be this good...
